Kevin began his career in investment banking at Stephens Group in Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Midland, Texas to get firsthand experience in what it takes to build winning businesses. In his role at Parsely Petroleum, Kevin was involved with the merger integration after a takeover of a competitor. It was in those years that Kevin first saw clearly that change management and people are foundational to the success of any business. Kevin spent the next period of his career managing Enron’s Private Equity business before reuniting with business school classmate, John Hawkins at Sterling in 2001. Kevin is passionate about continuous improvement and has pushed Sterling to memorialize past experience into a set of systems and processes that can be repeatable across deal teams and importantly, across market conditions. Kevin received a B.A. from Rhodes College and an M.B.A. with honors from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
