The Sterling Group is seeking a high-performing Administrative Assistant to provide support to members of the Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate should be dynamic, thrive in a fast-paced environment, proactive and be able to handle challenging situations as the arise.

The Sterling Group is an operationally focused middle market private equity firm focused on the industrial sector. Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to members of Finance & Accounting team, including the CFO, at varying levels including copying, faxing, printing, scanning, filling, taking notes, and making travel plans, amongst other duties

Assisting with the collection, preparation, processing, tracking, and record keeping of tax documents

Supporting the maintenance of accounting books and records by tracking bank information and statements, monitoring deadlines, opening and sorting mail, and sending certified mail

Proactively manage constantly changing calendars with close attention to detail, anticipating needs, adjusting for conflicts, and ensuring logistics

Schedule internal and external conference calls and in person meetings per request, proactively reaching out to specific contacts as necessary

Completion of detailed expense reports in a timely manner, including tracking receipts and reimbursements

Monitor and maintain office equipment and inventory supplies

Keep all meeting rooms and public spaces neat and clean, remove waste, wipe down tables and white boards

Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects, including event planning, strategic operations, and process improvement initiatives

Provide back up support to other members of the administrative team as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

2+ years of administrative assistant experience supporting senior leadership ideally within financial services or in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines

Ability to build relationships

Ability to problem-solve and assume responsibility

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
