CEO of Safe Fleet

Safe Fleet provides a wide variety of safety-and productivity-oriented solutions to bus, rail, RV, truck and trailer, work truck, emergency, waste, industrial and military end markets.

Safe Fleet was formed in 2013 when The Sterling Group simultaneously acquired ROM and SMI. Both were manufacturers of safety related products but served different fleet end markets. The combination, renamed Safe Fleet, has been built into one of the largest fleet safety solution suppliers in North America offering thousands of products to nine different fleet end markets. In Safe Fleet, Sterling saw the opportunity to create a new business in a highly fragmented industry without a clear leader.

The company has made 10 acquisitions since Sterling’s initial investment. Each of the businesses that joined Safe Fleet were able to leverage the shared, best-in-class resources of the broader business, a much larger platform. Safe Fleet was able to bundle different product types to better serve its customer base, offering a more complete solution.
